Billikens

December 2004: The U11 boys Billikens, sponsored by Skeeter's Grill won the U11 bracket of the Fusion Soccer Tournament over the weekend of December 11 and 12. They outscored the competition 12-1 and won all 4 games. The championship game was won in exciting fashion with a tying goal from Jared Starr with 10 minutes remaining in regulation time and the game winning goal by Miles Lerch in the final 2 minutes of the game!

 

Blaze

Spring 2006: The U17 Boys Blaze finished in 2nd place in the STYSA South Texas Cup 2006 State Finals in Cedar Park, TX, May 20-21, 2006. They finished the weekend with a record of 1-1-1, losing a hard fought 2-1 final game to Kingwood Alliance, the 1st place finishers. The team won second place a the Eastern District tournament May 6-7 to qualify for state. The Blaze had an identical record as the district first place winner.

Fall 2005: The U17 Blaze qualified for the STYSA Division II Eastern District playoffs.

Spring 2005: The U16 boys Blaze participated at the South Texas Cup and advanced to the Eastern District tournament

Fall 2004: U16 Boys Blaze competed in the Division II Eastern District playoffs.

May 2004: The Blaze U15 boys finished as runners-up in the Albion Hurricanes Memorial Day tournament. They competed in the U15 Boys Competitive Bracket and posted an impressive 5-0 win over an S2 team and a come-from-behind 3-2 win over a D1 team to advance to the finals. They then dropped a tough 4-2 decision in the finals to finish as runners-up.

 

Bruise

May 2004: The Bruise (U17 Boys, EDDOA) advanced to Eastern District Championship round of U17 Boys USYSC play. This tournament is the highest level of competition available and ends in a national championship. The Bruise placed second in its bracket with a 2-1-1 record. Since midway through the fall season the Bruise had a 12 game unbeaten streak (10-0-2) in Division I play. That streak was ended by the Texans (ranked second in the state) in May. Other finalists making it to the district championship included the Texans, Texas Premier FC and the Classics.

April 2004: The Bruise U17 Division I boys went 3-0 at the Texas Lightning Showcase Tournament in Arlington, TX. The tournament included wins over the Austin Capitols (4-2), FC Dallas (3-2) and Boulder County (CO) Force (8-1). Seven players got involved in the scoring led by Ian Ankney with 7 goals and 2 assists.

March 2003: The Bellaire Bruise U16 Boys Division I team took second place at the CAYSA Classic Invitational Tournament in Austin. This is the first time that Bellaire has placed first or second in any boys Division I competition. The Bruise played the Austin Capitols to  a 0-0 tie and defeated the Austin Flyers 87 (fall 2002 Division I state champion) 3-0.  The Austin Flyers 88 (fall 2002 Division I state runner up) won the championship game 3-1.  The Austin Flyers 88 team has two players on the Regional ODP team and is one of the favorites to win Snickers Cup, the spring Division I national tournament.

 

Bruise '91

October 2004: The U14 boys Bruise '91finished as runner-up at the Quail Valley tournament.

 

Bruise '94-'95 (formerly Beasts)

July 2005: The U10 Bruise 94/95 (aka Beasts) won the Mrs. Baird's Quickfoot national championship tournament in Galveston on July 23rd and 24th in the Boys U10 Academy division. The final was won by shootout.

Aug/Sept 2005: - The Bruise 94/95 U11 boys won tournaments on successive weekends at Texas City and Deer Park. The Bruise swept all 3 games played in Texas City by a collective score of 21 goals gor and only 1 against. The highlight of the tournament was the Bruise goalkeeper scoring on a penalty kick, placing the ball spot on in the lower right corner! Over Labor Day, the Bruise played at Deer Park in the open bracket for U12 teams. Despite playing teams a year older, the Bruise won all three qualifying games without allowing a goal against. In the championship game, competition was tighter. The Bruise, down by a goal with less than 5 minutes left in regulation evened the score on a penalty kick. In golden goal overtime, the Bruise won the kickoff and scored a header goal off a cross from the right side.

July 2005: The U10 Bruise 94/95 (aka Beasts) won the Mrs. Baird's Quickfoot national championship tournament in Galveston on July 23rd and 24th in the Boys U10 Academy division. The Bruise won 3 of 4 qualifying games, all by shutouts. The championship game on Sunday pitted the Bruise against the Top Dogs from Austin, the only team to have beaten the Bruise in the qualification round. The game was a tension filled cliffhanger. After the lead was traded back and forth during regulation time, the game ended in a 3-3 tie. Golden goal overtime was scoreless and the teams went to a shootout. The tie was finally broken on the sixth penalty kick by Bellaire and the Top Dogs failed to match.

June 2005: The U10B Beasts won the Mrs. Baird's Quickfoot tournament held at Eldridge Park in Sugar Land June 4, 2005. The Beasts won all 5 games played scoring a total of 28 goals and allowing only 2 against. By winning the local tournament, the Beasts advanced to represent the Houston area teams at the national championship tournament in Galveston on July 23.

April 2005: The U10 boys Beasts won the South Belt Spring Classic tournament April 16-17, 2005.  They were undefeated through five games,  recorded four shutouts and scored 24 goals and allowed just one.

February 2005: The U10 boys Beasts fielded two teams to the Texas Heatwave Tournament at Lindsay Lyons Park February 12-13, 2005. The teams were seeded in different brackets and both made it to the semifinals - fortunately not playing one another. Both teams played well in the semifinals under heavy rain, but ultimately fell to very skilled opponents.

December 2004: The U10 boys Beasts won the 2004 Fusion Soccerfest hosted by New Territory on December 11-12 2004. The Beasts were undefeated with an overall record of 5-0 and out scored their opponents by a combined score of 18-3.

Fall 2004: U11 Boys Bruise '94 finished third in the state in Super 2 in Austin. STYSA Eastern District Playoffs, Dec. 4-5

Summer 2004: The U11 Bruise boys made the finals in the Summer 2004 Alvin tournament, made it to the championships, but finals were rained out. The coin flip resulted in a second place medals, but we'll call it tied for first place. The Bruise were 3 wins and 1 tie.

May 2004: The Beasts U9 boys came in second at the 2004 TORNEO de HAMMERS Hosted by Brenham Athletic Soccer Club.

 

Bullets

Spring 2007: The Bullets U15 Boys clinched a spot in the coveted USYS National Championships Cup Series by tying their last game of the Division 1 season 1-1 in the 1st minute of 2nd half stoppage time. This is the first time in Bellaire Soccer Club history that one of its teams has qualified for the National Cup, the highest level of youth soccer competition in the East Texas region.

August 2006: The  Bullets U15 Boys placed second in the Texas Warm Up Cup 2006 (August 19-20) at the Division 1 level, taking their only loss in the finals. The Bullets beat West U Express (3-0), Lonestars 92B Blue (2-1), and Space City FC 91/92 (3-2). In the championship game, the team fell to Lonestar 92B White (0-2). The Bullets coaching staff is very proud of the team, especially after playing 3 games on the 2nd day in near 100-degree weather and high humidity. Congratulations on the 2nd place finish in the team's first competition at the Division One level!

Spring 2006: U14 Bullets are Region III (Southeast US) Champs The Bellaire Bullets won the U14 President's Cup Region III Championship in Decatur, Alabama, June 9-11. The President's Cup is made up of upper Super 2 and lower Division 1 soccer teams. Region III consists of the 12 southern states from Oklahoma east to the Carolinas, with Texas divided into northern and southern halves.  May 20-21 they won STYSA's President's Cup 2006 State Championship in Pflugerville, TX. They finished the finals with a record of 2 wins and a tie, leaving them undefeated in President's Cup play (regular season record: 8-0-1). The Bullets are previous winners of Fall State Championships in 2004 (Division 2) and 2005 (Super 2). Contact: Vic Lamanuzzi 713-667-2251.

Fall 2005: The U14 Bellaire Bullets won the State S2 championship Dec. 10-11, This makes the second year in a row that the Bullets finished the season as a State Champ (2004 in Division II).

Sept. 2005: The Bullets U14 Boys took first place in the Houston Labor Day Cup in the Competitive Flight. Undefeated in 6 tournament games in 3 days, they scored 29 times while giving up only 3 goals.

August 2005: The undefeated U14 boys Bullets (2 wins and 1 tie) took 2nd place in the Fusion Meltdown Soccer Tournament. (Unfortunately, the semifinal and final games had to be cancelled due to weather.)

Fall 2004: U13 boys Bullets team won the STYSA State Championship for the fall 2004 season. The team went unbeaten in district play Dec. 4-5 and at the state tournament in Corpus Christi Dec. 11-12.

October 2004: The U13 boys Bullets placed first, and the U13 boys Cobras placed third, in the Quail Valley Tournament Oct. 9-10. The teams met in the semifinals; after playing to a 2-2 tie after regulation play and two overtime periods, the Bullets won on penalty kicks 2-1.

August 2004: The Bullets U13 Boys  won the Quest Labor Day 2004 Tournament at Deer Park, going undefeated during the weekend.

May 2004: The Bullets U12 Boys team took 2nd place in the Competitive bracket at the Third Annual Albion Hurricanes Memorial Day Cup. The Bullets were undefeated and untied until losing in the finals.

October 2003: The Bullets U12 boys won second place at the Quail Valley Tournament.

April 2003: The Storm U11 Boys took second place at the Houston Easter Invitational at Bear Creek Park.

 

Cobras

October 2004: The U13 boys  Cobras placed third in the Quail Valley Tournament Oct. 9-10.

 

Firebolts

April 2003: The Firebolts U9 girls team placed third at the Sylvan Beach Tournament.

April 2003: The Firebolts U10 girls team tied for second at the Tax Time Tournament.

 

Flying Eagles

October 2006: The Flying Eagles U13 Boys finished in 2nd place at the Missouri City Friendship Tournament.

 

Flying Eagles

The Flying Eagles Boys U19 boys won 1st place at the Beaumont, TX  warm up tournament Aug. 26-27, 2006.

May 2005: The U17B Flying Eagles won first place at the Memorial Day Tournament in Shertz (San Antonio), Texas. A full contingent of 16 players made the trip which contributed to the victory. This number of players allowed for liberal substitutions and adjustments to game strategy.

Fall 2004: U17 Boys Flying Eagles finished finished third in the state in Division II. They qualified for state by finishing second in the Division II Eastern District playoffs the previous weekend.

October 2004: The U17 boys Flying Eagles finished as runner-up at Quail Valley.

April 2004: The Flying Eagles U16 boys placed second in the West Houston Tax Time tournament. The team battled against a U19 team in the championship game.

October 2003: The Flying Eagles U9 and U10 teams took 1st place at the Quail Valley Friendship Tournament.

Spring 2003: The Eagles U15 Boys team finished 1st at the Austin United Spring Cup Tournament under the U16 competitive division.

 

Fury

Fall 2005: The U13 Boys Fury qualified for the STYSA Division III eastern district playoffs by finishing in second place in its 9-team bracket

 

Hammers '91

Spring 2006: The U15 Hammers 91 were relentless through through Spring 2006 tournaments with four first place finishes: They began their run by winning the Aggieland Classic. (They also finished second at the "Austin Warm-up.") Next, the Hammers won the Sylvan Beach Tournament April 2006. There, the team went 4 wins and 1 loss, scoring 11 goals with just 4 against. The final was won by scoring 2 goals in the last 2 ½ minutes of the game beating a Triumph FC team from Dallas 2-1. Third, on May 13/14, they won the U17G Open Bracket at the Torneo de Hammers Tournament held in Brenham . The girls went 4-0-0 on the way to the championship, giving up only 3 goals and scoring 14 goals. Finally, the team won the U16G Open bracket of the 2006 Pursuit Memorial Day Tournament with 3 wins and 1 tie. They scored 11 goals and gave up 0. Along the way, the Hammers beat three U16G teams and tied 1 U16G team. The Hammers previously have won the same tournament in 2002, 2003, and 2004 (taking 2005 off).

Fall 2005: The U15 girls Hammers were promoted from EDDOA Competitive bracket to the EDDOA Classic Bracket. Its fall season record was 5-2 in seasonal play and 13-5-1 overall in Div. 1 play and Div. 1 tournaments.

May 2005: The U14G Hammers came in 2nd place in the U15G Open (D1 & S2) Bracket at Sylvan Beach. The team went 4 wins and 1 loss, and along the way beat the eventual champions in the preliminary round.

May 2004: The Hammers 91 U13 girls repeated as champions in the 2004 Houston Memorial Day Tournament. They had a record of 4 wins and 1 loss.

July 2003: The Hammers 91 U13 girls team tied for second at Lake Jackson Invitational in July and were semifinalists at Alvin in August.

August 2003: At the Houston Labor Day Cup, they finished tied for 1st in its bracket with two wins and a tie; they tied for second overall in the cup.

May 2003: The Hammers also won the Brenham Thunder Classic May 3-4. The team had a record of 4 wins, 0 losses, 1tie while beating 2 Div. 1 teams and 1 Super Blue team on the way to the championship.

May 2003: The Hammers U12 Girls team won the KOHL's Memorial U12G Tournament - Mixed Bracket in May. On the way, they tied Texas Premier D1 and Xtreme Xpress S2, and beat Texas Wave. The Ladies went on to beat Texas Premier D1 in the finals in a Shootout after 2 O/T's.

 

Heat

Dec. 2003: The U14 Heat were Fall 2003 STYSA State Champs for EDS2

Feb. 2003: The Heat (U13 Girls) won first place at the Aggieland Classic Soccer Tournament in College Station.

 

Lions

The Lions U11 boys won the Beaumont, TX  warm up tournament Aug. 26-27, 2006. The team was undefeated in three preliminary round games undefeated (12 goals for, and only 1 against). The Lions won the final game 3-0. This team's objective to qualify for Divison 1 at EDDOA.

Fall 2005: the U-10 boys Lions won third-place trophies in HYSA play.

Fall 2004 - The Lions won its U9 Div IV bracket in the fall HYSA season

October 2004: The U9 boys Lions won the Friendship tournament October 9-10, 2004. Players and coaching staff celebrate the victory after winning the final game.

September 2004: The Lions also won the Quest Labor Day 2004 Tournament at Deer Park, going undefeated during the weekend.

 

Longhorns

October 2003: The Longhorns U11 girls won second place at the Quail Valley Tournament.

 

Magic

April 2006: The Magic U14 girls won the Tax Time Tournament at Bush Park, winning four games and losing none.

Oct. 2005: The Magic U14 girls took first place at the Missouri City Friendship Tournament Oct 8-9. The Magic were 4-0 for the weekend.

Spring 2005: The U13 girls Magic played in the South Texas Cup. At the eastern district playoffs May 14, the Magic was 1-1-1 and was edged out from advancing to the semifinals on a tie-breaker.

Fall 2004: U13 Girls Magic finished as a semifinalist in the Division III Eastern District playoffs in Beaumont.

October 2004: The U13 girls Magic won first place in the U14 recreational bracket at the Quail Valley tournament Oct. 9-10. The final game ended in a penalty kick shootout.

October 2002: The U11 girls Magic won first place at the Quail Valley tournament.

 

Penguins

Fall 2004: U18 Boys Penguins competed in the Division II Eastern District playoffs.

 

Sirens

Fall 2005: The Sirens qualified for the STYSA Division II eastern district playoffs, after posting a 7-0-1 record, first place in its bracket.

Oct. 2005: The Sirens U12 girls won the championship at the Missouri City Friendship Tournament Oct 8-9. The Sirens went undefeated, scoring 8 goals and shutting out each opponent for zero goals scored against.

April 2005: The under 11 girls Sirens won the championship for the West Houston Soccer Club "Tax Time Tournament" on April 10, 2005. The team went undefeated scoring 11 goals in 4 games with only 4 goals scored against.

Spring 2005: At the eastern district playoffs of the South Texas Cup May 14 the U-11 girls Sirens advanced to the semi-finals with only one goal against in the qualifying rounds. In a hard fought and well played game by both teams, the Sirens lost 1-0 with the only score coming from a penalty kick.

Fall 2004: U11 Girls Sirens finished second in the Division III Eastern District playoffs.

August 2004: The Sirens U11 Girls team, won first place in the Texas City Tune-Up Tournament. The Sirens scored 15 goals with only 2 goals against resulting in a record of 3-0-0.

May 2004: The Sirens U-10 girls, playing in the "New U-11" bracket placed second in the Glenn McDonald Pursuit Houston Open May 29-30. The tournament included 2 wins, 1 tie (against the ultimate tournament winner) and 1 loss (in the finals). This was the first tournament played by the Sirens.

 

Sting Rays

Fall 2005: the U-10 boys Sting Rays won third-place trophies in HYSA play.

 

Tigers

Spring 2006: The U14 Girls Tigers Advanced to South Texas Cup Eastern District Playoffs May 6-7.

Fall 2005: The U14 girls Tigers qualified for the STYSA Division III eastern district playoffs by winning first place in its U14/U13 bracket

October 2003: The WildKatz U12 girls (later to become the Tigers) won second place at the Quail Valley Tournament.

 

Tiger Sharks

Fall 2005: The U10 Boys Tiger Sharks won first place in their HYSA bracket in the Fall 2005 season. The team had a record of 7-2-1. HYSA does not send teams U10 and younger to post-season playoffs.
